Daphne has been asking for weeks to get a pumpkin and make jack-o-lanterns, so last week we finally did it. The girls worked a long time trying to get all the junk out of the pumpkins. Noah helped for a little while. And then I worked for what seemed like hours to carve out the designs. We were all very happy with the way they game out.
Here are the finished products:
On Thursday, we went Johnston's Pumpkin Patch just outside of Greenbrier with Mother's Day Out. It was really, really muddy, but the weather was perfect! The kids had so much fun picking their pumpkins, petting the farm animals, going on a straw ride, and having a picnic lunch.
A few weeks ago, a group from our church got to spend the afternoon at War Memorial Stadium thanks to a lady from church that paid to rent it. We had a lot of fun playing on the field, exploring the bleachers, and getting to eat in the locker room.
Our church gave us a baby shower. I really appreciate them doing this because after having Noah, we got rid of everything except for our rocking chair. This was the only good picture I got. That may be because Daphne had my camera most of the time.
Aubrey weighed 5lbs 14oz at her two monthe check-up. The doctor put her on medicine to help keep her food down because she likes to spit up the majority of it. We go back this Wednesday for another weight check. Besides that she's doing great! Sorry that I don't have any good pictures of her. I've been trying to get one of the smiling, but I'm always too slow.
And that's about all we've been up to besides school carnivals and soccer games.
