Happy Easter!

Happy Easter everybody!

And this is what the Easter bunny brought for the kids. Her name is Ginny the Guinea Pig.

Our church had their Easter egg hunt last Sunday. There were hunderds of eggs! We also played a few games including a sack race, dizzy bat, and egg baseball. We tried to play the egg and spoon race but apparently the eggs I bought were unbreakable! They would just bounce so the competition went on and on forever. It was a beautiful day and we had a great turn out. Thank you to everyone who helped!!

Today, we all went down to Benton to go church with my parents at the church where I grew up. It's always good to back. Today they had a record crowd of over 600 people! It's so awesome to be able to say that there wasn't an empty seat in the church building. If only it could be like that every Sunday!

After lunch, the kids hunted Easter eggs in my parents' front yard.

What's Been Going On...

Spring Break

During Spring Break a few weeks ago, we all went down to my parent's lakehouse in Hot Springs. We had one warm, sunny day that we were able to spend on the lake, but the other days were cold and rainy. We also got to up the Hot Springs tower.

Ladies' Night and Day 2011

Every other year, our church hosts a Ladies' Day. This year our theme was "Who Am I: Finding my Place in the Church" and the speaker was Michelle Kilmer. We had around 100 ladies attend. It was an incredible day!

The night before, we had our Ladies' Night for just the women of our congregation. The theme was The Wild, Wild West. Everyone showed up in the hats and boots and we dined on BBQ and beans. We also had a Gold Rush relay race, a few people who were "Wanted", and a purse hunt game. I wish I had been able to get more pictures to show everyone how much fun we had. It was such a great night of bonding that I don't know if I can wait another 2 years until our next one!

Camp Wyldewood 2011

Every spring our church has a retreat at Camp Wyldewood in Searcy. This is something that we put on our calendar and look forward to for months! This year was one of the best. We had awesome weather and a really good turn out. We fished, ate, played games until 3 in the morning, rode four wheelers, hiked, swam, and just spent the weekend with our Christian family and friends. And to top it off, some good friends of ours that had moved to Texas made a surprise visit late Friday night. None of us were ready to leave yesterday afternoon. Once again I didn't take many pictures, but I believe that this weekend created memories that we will never forget!

More Snow...

Aubrey's ready to go out and play in the snow. The only problem was that with all those clothes on, she could barely move.

We got a lot of snow a few weeks ago. Micah hooked up the trailer to the four wheeler and pulled the kids around on it. Unfortunately, I only remembered to get a picture of Daphne and Kaylee.

Happy Birthday Kaylee-Bug!!

Kaylee turned 7 years old last week!! We had her birthday at a local gymnastics place. It was a great party. The kind where the parents don't have to do anything but watch and the kids get to run around and act crazy (while at the same time run off some energy!!)

On another note, Aubrey finally started walking the day before she turned 17 months! Here is just a cute picture of her showing me her belly.

Monday, January 3, 2011

So, I'm reading everyone elses updated blogs and think to myself, "Ok, I guess I should update mine as well."

Not much has been happening with us. We had a great Thanksgiving and Chrismas. I did not send out Christmas cards this year because after days of trying to get a few good pics of the kids, they won and I gave up. We spent Thanksgiving at Micah's parents' house in the bustling town of Bradford, Arkansas. Don't know where that is? Well, take Hwy 67 toward Searcy and Bald Knob and just keep on driving. If you come to civilization, then you've gone too far. We also spent Christmas Eve there and then headed back to our house for Christmas morning. People keep asking me if Santa brought a lot of toys to the kids and my answer is that Santa behaved himself, but our relatives are the ones who lost control! A couple days after Christmas, my mom, the kids, and I went to Memphis to visit my Aunt and to open even more presents. We are still trying to find a place for everything.
Christmas Slideshow #1: School Parties (No, there are not any pictures from Noah's school party. Yes, I did forget to take my camera)

Christmas Slideshow #2: Christmas Eve and Christmas morning

Christmas Slideshow #3: Chrismas Day

I wish everyone a Happy New Year!! I have made resolutions, but we will see what becomes of them.
