Micah's Mini Vacation

So, yes, I am the best wife in the world. Why do I believe this, you may ask. Well, it's all in the slide show below.

Micah went on a mini 4 day vacation with a group of friends (some old and some newer ones) to Blue Ridge, Georgia. So, that's why I believe that I should be nominated for "Best Wife of the Year". Another thing that qualifies me for that title is that I kept Micah's friend's kids (two black labs) so that he could go on the trip, too. The main reason for them going was to float the Ocoee River. They had a blast, as you can tell. And they all came back with no visible injuries. I really am glad that Micah got to go, even though I keep giving him a hard time about me leaving me and the kids and even though the kids and I missed him a whole, whole lot. I asked him when it was my turn for a few days away with friends and he said anytime. I'll keep you posted on that promise!

On another note... Here are a couple of super cute pictures that a friend of mine took of Aubrey.

My friend said that this one looks like an opera singer

P.S. - Aubrey finally got a tooth! At 10 3/4 months old.

Kaylee's Dance Recital

Kaylee had her dance recital this past Saturday. We couldn't take pictures or video during the performance so I tried to get some at the rehearsal on Friday. That's why they're not in make-up and that's also the reason that the quality of the pictures isn't very good.

Father's Day 2010

So, after Kaylee's dance recital on Saturday, my parents were going to watch the kids (including Aubrey) over night so Micah and I could go to Hot Springs for the Skillet concert and a night away. Well, plans change. Micah was working a big case and had to stay in the NLR area and ended up working most of the day Saturday and Sunday. Therefore, we celebrated Father's Day tonight. The kids wanted to cook him dinner so we did just that. They decided on a menu of chicken cordon bleu, mashed potatoes, and broccoli with cheese sauce. No, we did not have bread because I do not believe that there is a rule that says that you have to have bread with every meal. We also had strawberries and chocolate ice cream for dessert. The kids did as much as the could to help. I tried to keep my cool the best I could, too. The meal was delicious, but the best thing is that we have enough leftovers for a another meal!!!

Aubrey - 9 months, well almost 10 months

In her "Big Girl" carseat

Our internet has not been working now for about a month, but Micah finally got it working again last night. That's at least one of my excuses for not posting anything lately.

Aubrey is now nine months old. Well, she'll actually be ten months in just a few days. She is sitting up really well now and has been for a few months. She's not crawling or anything close to crawling, but she is getting more aggressive when she wants something that she can't reach. She'll roll to get closer to a toy and she'll reach as far as she can to try to get it. The doctor said that if she isn't crawling in a month, then she'll probably won't to start physical therapy. I'm not too happy about that because after all, she was premature and she has been behind on just about everything having to do with motor skills. Her fine motor skills, however, are right on schedule if not early. Aubrey had her well child check-up this week. She is 27 3/4 inches long(50%), weighs 15.4 pounds(5%), and her head is still in the 95%. She loves to sit in her excersaucer and she loves to play with Noah. (or at least sit and watch him play or run around the house) She is becoming more comfortable with other people holding her. She likes to feed herself and will eat almost anything I put in front of her. She really likes canned green beans, puffs, dried apricots, bananas, bagels, etc. She also got to have her first McDonald's hamburger last week. Yes, I'm a bad mom. We got there and I had forgotten to bring baby food so Aubrey got to eat half of Noah's cheeseburger and she loved it. I wouldn't share my fries with her, though. She's also sleeping through the night, most nights, which has been great!! I'm finally catching up on some of my sleep.

I just took this picture. Apparently, Aubrey fell asleep in her excersaucer while I was working on the computer.

On another note...Today is the last day of school!! I'm excited and I know that the girls are too. Kaylee graduated from Kindergarten yesterday. I have a few pictures, but most of them turned out blurry or a weird color. My camera and I don't always get along. I was begging it to cooperate and then I resorted to threatening it. Neither of which worked. I'm hoping that my mom and some other parents got better pics that I did.

We've got an exciting summer planned. We're headed to Memphis to visit my Aunt next week weekend. Then Daphne starts Summer Quest for two weeks...then both girls are going to a gymnastics day camp each Thursday...and they're taking swimming lessons...and we have 3 or 4 VBS's on the calendar...a few weddings...and we're planning a trip to San Antonio to go to Sea World sometime in July. I'll try to keep pictures at least posted.
