Yes, you are seeing that picture correctly and yes it is of me! I am about 10 weeks pregnant and due around September 20. Here are a few FAQ's:
1. Yes, this is my 6th pregnancy. 2. No, just like the last one, this was not planned. After having a miscarriage during the summer, it did not make me want to have another baby. 3. Yes, we do now what is causing this. 4. Yes, Micah has promised for 3 years now that he will get fixed. This time there will be no other option! 5. Yes, I have been very, very sick and worn out all the time. 6. No, we are not trying to compete with the Duggar Family. 7. Yes, we are very excited! It has taken us a little while and although I've seen the ultrasound, I'm still in a bit of denial.
I'm sure that there are plenty of other questions and please feel free to ask. I know of at least 3 other girls that are about as far along as I am so there must be something going around! The girl I work with told me that she was pregnant and I said,"Yay! I'm so excited that it's you and not me!" The very next week I had to take all of that back. I've got to learn to keep my mouth shut!
Please keep me in your prayers. As many of you know, I've had problems in the past with hight blood pressure and stuff like that during pregnancy. I don't go back to the doctor for another six weeks so I'll try to keep everyone up to date with what's going on.
As I posted earlier, I had to give up my other slide show because it was taking so long to load. I'm at my parents' house this afternoon and their internet is much, much faster so I decided to try again. I've had another long drought of posting, so I'll try to do better. I'll have some stuff to share hopefully next week.
P.S. - If some of my other slide shows have had weird music on them, then I apologize. My sound is rarely turnded on and I didn't realize that the music was automatically added.
Well, I know that many of you have been glued to your computer screens daily just wainting for my next post (ha. ha.) so I'm sorry that I've disappointed you yet again.
I have been trying forever to find the time to post about our trip to Walt Disney World, but it just doesn't seem to be there. So, instead of posting a long narrative about the trip, I'm just going to post a few pictures. Afterall, pictures speak louder than words. However, I will say that although we had some bumps in the road here and there, overall, we had a blast! The kids loved it. They're at the perfect age where you here a lot of "Ooohs" and "Aaahs".
This first slide show is of the characters that we met throughout the different parks. It was well worth the wait to meet them. The kids were amazed by every one of them.
The second slide show is of us (Daphne, Kaylee, my mom, and me) eating breakfast with the princess in Cinderella's Castle. The food was good and the princesses greeted each table. This was well worth the money!!! One thing that we thought was odd, though, was that Mary Poppins was one of them. Did you know that Mary Poppins was considered a princess? We all love your movie Mary Poppins, but we don't remember you being crowned a princess in it.
This last slide show is of a beach in Clearwater where we went to find shells. We also found a lot of hermit crabs and even a starfish! The water was fairly chilly, but the kids didn't seem to mind.
Hope everyone enjoyed those! I have a fourth slide that just has some general pictures that I'll keep working on. It takes so long for me to load them that my internet turns itself off and then I have to start all over. Very, very frustrating!
Once again, I have neglected to post about my child's birthday. The parent-of-the-year award is slowing fading away!
Kaylee turned 5 years old last Tuesday, the 13th. We haven't had her family birthday party yet, but we did celebrate by going to Chuck E. Cheese with her best friend NJ. We also took her to Build-a-Bear to pick out some new clothes for her kitty and to The Children's Place to pick out some new clothes for her.
Here are some things about Kaylee:
She can go from a smile on her face to crying in no time. It's amazing to watch and can sometimes be very annoying! (Just telling the truth!)
She is doing a really good job in dance and seems to be enjoying every minute of it. During her recital, she didn't once seem intimidated or to have any kind of stage fright.
Kaylee has a beautiful smile that always looks so natural. I think that she' very photogenic.
She just got her hair cut. She said that she wanted it chin length so that's what she got and it looks absolutely adorable on her.
Kaylee's voice carries and you can she usually hear her above other kids. She also tends to yell. This may be because she' the middle child and that's what she has to do to be heard.
I did not think that Kaylee was very cute at all when she was born (I think I have officially lost the parenting award), but now, I think that she's beautiful.
She's not very athletic. She'll participate in outdoor activities for a few minutes, but then she's content to go play in the dirt or do something else. However, she does really enjoy riding her scooter that she got for Christmas.
She's not very competitive. Which is strange considering how competitive Micah and I am. This may also be another reason that she doesn't enjoy sports as much as some other people. Sometimes, I'm afraid that since Daphne beats her all the time, then she wonders what's the point in trying. That's why I'm glad that she enjoys dance. Dance class is time to focus on Kaylee and nobody else.
She moves at her own pace. Which is often slower than the rest of us. But this is usually because she is looking at her surroundings and maybe even making up stories about them.
Kaylee's favorite princess in Cinderella.
She likes to sing Hannah Montana and High School Musical songs.
She has been reading for a few months now and within just the past few weeks she has started learning addition.
Happy Birthday Kaylee!!
Micah turns 30 tomorrow (the 21st)!! I'm excited because he's reaching that milestone before me. I don't think that he's too thrilled about it. It's nice to know that he will always be older than me!
Also, I am working on getting picture from our trip to Disney World posted. Since we still have dial-up, it's taking forever. Hopefully, they'll be up by the end of this week.
Well, I tried to upload the video of Kaylee's recital, but something isn't cooperating. She did such a good job! She knew the whole dance and had a big smile on her face the entire time. Anyways, here are some pictures:
We also got to celebrate Christmas a little early at my Aunt Marcy's house in Memphis. Noah's big present was a tool bench, the girls big presents were Wowwee animals and Micah and me got a Wii!!!!! We are so excited. Micah and I both stayed up way too late last night playing! The girls really like the bowling and I like whipping Micah in boxing!
As I mentioned in a previous post, Micah and I celebrated our 9th anniversary on the 18th. We didn't really do anything special, but he did surprise me with a new camera! I have not had a brand new camera since probably highschool. My most recent one was given to me by my aunt when she got herself a better one. It has not been working all that good and the button to turn it on and off was sticking. Plus, the quality of my old one was not very good. I really wanted a new one for our trip, but certainly didn't expect to get one. It is a Nikon Coolpix 2550. Just like the one Ashton Kutcher has! (Yes, that's a joke.)
Luckily, I had a lot of chances today to use my new camera. First there was Noah's trip to the doctor, then there was Kaylee's Christmas party, next we went to the park, and we finally ended up at Daphne's Christmas party.
Going back to Noah's trip to the doctor. He has been coughing, running a fever, and just acting sick for a few days so I decided I better get him in before our trip. They took an x-ray of his chest which thankfully was clear and they gave him a breathing treatment. He's also on a steroid for a few days.
I want to say "Thank you!" to Micah's parents for taking us out to eat tonight. It's always a treat!
This past Saturday night, Angela, Brandy and I had a Christmas party for the young girls at our church. We had it at my house and we had a blast. There were 12 girls that attended ranging from 4 years old to 5th grade. We ate, made a craft, played Christmas Bingo, and kinda watched the movied Prancer. Does anyone else remember that movie? It was one of my favorites when I was younger. The girls at the party weren't that into it, plus we had parents start showing up, so we eventually had to turn the movie off. You'll see in the pictures below the craft that we made. It took a lot more work than I had planned, but it turned out really cute. Angela painted all of the faces ahead of time. That was a lot of help! Each of the girls put a thumbprint around the edge and then I turned them into Christmas lights and put their names on them. The party was a lot of fun, but I can definitely wait a year until the next one. I need a few months to recover.
In other news, Micah and I celebrate our 9th anniversary this Thursday, December 18th. We have no special plans for now. I think that we'll just work on getting ready for our trip. We leave on Sunday and go to Memphis for a few days and then we head down to Orlando to go to Disney World! I'm really excited about going! It's been 10 years since I've been there and Micah has never been. After Disney World, we'll go to Tampa for a few days and then head back home. I will probably not post anything else until we get home. Kaylee's Christmas dance recital is this Sunday so I may try to post pictures and video of that from my aunt's house in Memphis.
I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and whatever you're asking for, you recieve.
